Gary Montgomery Drum Tuition
Gary Montgomery has been active on the Glasgow music scene for many years now and has established himself as a pro teacher.
His drumming influences include Jeff Porcaro and Gary Novak, while his teaching method is heavily influenced by drum tutor to-the-stars Gary Chaffee.
He is no stranger to major drum events having performed with Drums of Black Bottle at the Modern Drummer Festival in 2001 alongside such names as Gary Novak, Cindy Blackman and Virgil Donati.
Gary has also graced the stage at the Montreal Drum Festival and at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention (PASIC) – the largest percussion event in the world.
Gary teaches all levels of player from beginner to pro with many of the rising stars of the Glasgow drumming community counting him as a major influence on their playing.
He also teaches from both the Trinity and Rockschool graded exam courses.
